Forts and the old town
A rich monumental heritage: the English tower Fort Wellington, the Perasti and Bentinck Terjun towers, Fort George, Fort Batarija, the Royal Air Force memorial from the Second World War, the Archaeological Museum and Sophie's house from Mamma Mia.
Things to do
A well-equipped sport and recreation centre with four tennis courts and basketball and football grounds. Vis also has sailing, cricket and paragliding clubs. Diving outside the town is run by two dive centres, and hill walking is popular too.
Mamma Mia 2
Vis became very popular after Mamma Mia 2 was filmed on its beautiful locations.
